Please allow me to have a fangirl moment that does not have anything to do with photography or travel. I’ve been all over this song since last year but I haven’t seen this video until last night. I’m a total failure, I know, but I don’t have source for Top Combine news ):

I saw the short version first so what initially caught my attention was the carnival theme. I thought it was fitting, since the title reminds me of carnivals. The colorful set and Xiao Wu’s Ferris wheel scene was so cute and heartwarming that the disappointment I felt about Super Junior’s recently-released Japanese Marry U MV suddenly came to mind. (But that is a topic for another entry, perhaps.)
Anyway, I searched for the full version and SWOOSH! It swept me off my feet! I never thought I could love Mars more than I already do but the violin introduction, with him playing on that Ferris wheel was a very very very wonderful surprise. I just wish it was longer. *O* The parts where he played the violin by the trees reminded me of Rui in Hana Yori Dango, and since the HYD fever is again at its height because of Korea’s own version, I think that was the point. XD;
I adore the setting. It fits their song and their outfits (which I adore just as much) perfectly. Very eye candy without being too distracting. Every time I watch it, I feel like they’re in a magical place. I wish I could do a photoshoot at a place like that someday. :3
The story is probably cliche but still cute. They put tiny twists to it, like when Kenny bought the prize instead because he couldn’t win it. Xiao Wu throws a bunch of balloons off the Ferris Wheel, Leader-sshi offers a hamburger and a bottle of soda (FAIL FAIL FAIL but very cute♥), and Caesar… doesn’t really do anything special besides rap in different locations. In the end, Mars won, since apparently he’s the coolest among all of them. I mean, come on, wouldn’t you think it sweet and romantic for a guy to play violin for you?
I also like the scenes where they danced by the carousel. :D
Near the end, they show solo moves and as usual Mars got to be the cool guy. Caesar got to be cool too, Xiao Wu has the license to be cute and Kenny proved to be just as Heechul-like as I thought he was. They’re leader? Well, he danced like a leader with a drop of self respect in his being would never dance. I think, with a stage name like that, Bird is destined for adorkable failure. XD
Overall, it’s a heartwarming eye candy that is sure to put a smile on your face. If only Marry U was given this much effort… *sigh*
